Our Organic Cotton
Our organic cotton is free of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and genetically modified organisms. The toxins used in growing non-organic cotton are harmful for farmers, workers, us as consumers, and the entire ecosystem. We feel the effects of these toxins in our daily lives in the way of irritated skin, rashes and even headaches, which can be caused by chemical residue trapped in the bers. Yet despite these risks, less than 1% of all cotton is grown organically. Our cotton and cotton blends are durable, smooth and have a soft finish.

Daniel has owned his own factory for 23 years, and has been working with Amour Vert since our founding in 2011. Daniel started his career in San Francisco as a supervisor at a cutting shop, which ended up downsizing and laying off a lot of his colleagues. At that time, Daniel decided to open his own factory and bring his coworkers with him so they wouldn’t be unemployed. He’s proud to have given his employees work for so many years.

Mindy grew up in Wenzhou, China, and learned to sew when she came to the US. She took a job in a sewing factory, and after a short 4 years of work, she opened her own business. Mindy is really proud to be her own boss. She loves to teach people and to provide jobs and is driven by the challenges of bringing a business to profitability. While a lot of companies have moved overseas, Mindy is passionate about keeping manufacturing alive in the Bay Area and being able to provide a living wage to her employees.
