London Estates – Ben and Kelly Lanbury

Building on their compelling backstory, Ben and Kelly Lanbury’s book offers a deeper look at what brought them into fashion, how they met and why they are so determined to make high-end fashion accessible to and affordable to everyone. Ben grew up on the Whitehawk estate in Brighton, while Kelly was raised on an estate in south London. The Lanbruy’s paths met when they both attended fashion school in London, where they initially shared a textile course, Ben pursuing a career in styling, and Kelly focusing on fabric design. The Lanbury’s combined expertise in both how clothes are put together and sourced, and how they are worn became the foundation of their future success.

After Uni, the couple briefly went their separate ways for five years,as they worked in the fast paced world of fashion journalism and design. Ben Lanbury had periods in south east Asia business estates, better understanding distribution, whilst Kelly Lanbury worked at major media outlets in the UK.
